Areas of Study
American psychologists deal with an amazingly wide range of conditions and settings. Here at Indiana University, our Psychology Department defines five subfields that allow students and faculty to focus on and spend more time studying what they enjoy most. Each subfield is in itself broad and can involve a large variety of activities and careers.

Indiana University also offers interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, and Animal Behavior.
