
IU Career Development Services for Psychology / Neuroscience Majors
Psychology & Neuroscience Advisors can help you with long-range career planning - they know all about career development resources on campus and the advising resource library includes books on career development specifically for psychology majors. The Career Development Center, Arts & Sciences Career Services offers:
- Career Events. Internship and career fairs, networking nights, business recruiters, on-campus interviews and lots more!
- Help finding jobs and internships. Register with their recruiting system, myIUcareers.com, to search for employers or jobs, sign up for on-campus interviews, receive updates about career events and more!
- Undergraduate Career Advising. Drop-in advising is available without an appointment. Career advisors answer general questions about majors or careers; critique resumes and cover letters; explain what resources are available on campus; and get students started on internship, job, and graduate school searches. If additional time is required, the advisor will help the student make an hour-long advising appointment.
- The Career Resource Library is the most comprehensive career library available to IU students.
- Career Courses are available for all students at all stages of the career development process.
The Health Professions and Prelaw Center (HPPLC) provides advising and other services for students who want to pursue careers in law, medicine, and other health professions. HPPLC works closely with IU students throughout their undergraduate years, and with IU alumni, to help them become thoughtful, well-prepared, competitive applicants to professional programs.

- The HPPLC Recommendation Service provides a safe repository for all letters that students obtain over time from their recommenders and sends them to schools during the application process.
The Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Career Services Office is available to psychology and neuroscience majors who enroll in one of Kelley's career courses (X220 or X420). If you are planning a career in business, working to earn a certificate or minor in business then you should consider enrolling in one of Kelley's career courses. The UCS office can help you map out your career plan and reach your goals, complete an internship, connect with employers and take advantage of the latest career services technology. If you are interested in a career in business, have good grades and have obtained at least sophomore status have you applied to the Liberal Arts Management Program?
College of Arts & Sciences Credential Files. If you are an Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences senior seeking admission to graduate school you may have letters of recommendation placed on file in our office. At your request, we will send copies of your credentials file to the graduate or professional schools to which you are applying.
